Responsibilities for Residential Service Plumber:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Weld and solder pipes and fittings together using various techniques
- Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles using pipe threading and bending tools
- Install and repair fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, water heaters, and dishwashers
- Test plumbing systems for leaks using air pressure gauges and water pressure gauges
- Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and electricians to ensure plumbing systems are properly integrated into the building structure
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as clearing clogged drains and replacing worn-out parts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving plumbing issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for commercial driving purposes
- Proven experience as a plumber or completion of an apprenticeship program
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in plumbing work
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and other team members
