Meet Brad Birge – Owner & Master Plumber
My name is Brad Birge, and I have over 22 years of plumbing experience, but I’ve been a working man in Omaha since the age of 14. I started in the construction industry working for a local company, learning window installation, seamless steel gutters, and siding. I quickly worked my way up to foreman, learning what it takes to manage my own jobs and lead a crew of men.
After evaluating my future, I decided to pursue a career in a skilled trade. I considered framing and carpentry companies, as well as Ironworkers Local 21, before applying to multiple plumbing companies — not fully knowing what I was getting into. A commercial and industrial plumbing company took a chance on me and enrolled me in their apprenticeship program.

For the first month, I honestly thought I had made the worst mistake of my life, digging ditches in 100-degree weather while the foreman barked orders at me. But over time, I started to get the hang of it. I soaked up as much information as I could and began to truly appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship involved in plumbing — and I was hooked.
I’ve had the privilege of learning from some of the best plumbers in the industry. They taught me plumbing theory, code, and the tricks of the trade that helped me become efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. After years of hard work, I earned my Journeyman license and was promoted to foreman by my previous employer.
Eventually, I felt called to take another leap — one that would allow me to better invest in my future and my family. I earned my Master Plumber’s License and founded Big Birge Plumbing right here in Omaha, Nebraska.
I’m blessed with a beautiful wife, an amazing son, and four precious daughters, and everything I do is driven by my desire to provide the absolute best for them. It is my goal to use the gifts the Lord has given me — along with my education and experience — to deliver the best possible plumbing service to the Omaha metro and surrounding areas, using the skills, knowledge, and best practices I’ve gained over the years.
Deep in my heart, I believe I was destined to serve homeowners through Big Birge Plumbing. It is my honor and privilege to offer honest service, quality workmanship, and fair pricing to every customer we serve.

Get to Know Lallenia
Meet Lallenia – Co-Owner & Marketing Lead
Hi! I’ll be the first to admit — unlike my husband, I don’t have years of plumbing experience and I’ve never dug ditches in 100-degree weather. I’m also pretty sure my husband has had to use our drain machine at our house more than most of his “regular” customers (pun intended). And yes… I had to learn the hard way that you shouldn’t flush wax down the toilet or dump grease and food scraps into the garbage disposal. Oops!
My background is actually in the fitness industry. I’ve spent over 20 years helping people become stronger and healthier, and I’ve always loved working with people. When I first met my husband, Brad Birge, I was a personal trainer at the gym he worked out at — and I thought he was the most handsome guy there. I even called him my husband before he knew my name. Turns out, he may have had a crush on me too. 🙂
After we had our first child, we decided to start Big Birge Plumbing. I quickly learned that running a plumbing company while raising a family was a whole new kind of workout. I stepped back from full-time personal training and learned how to run and operate a business, eventually finding a true passion for marketing, customer service, and building relationships.
Today, I help behind the scenes making sure our customers are taken care of and that our vision of being the best residential plumbing company in Omaha and the surrounding areas continues to grow. While I’m no longer full-time in the office, the team has lovingly nicknamed me the “shadow boss” — which fits pretty well. Most of my time is spent being a plumber’s wife, attempting to homeschool our five children, working on marketing projects, and occasionally teaching fitness classes around Elkhorn.
